Membership Drive
PTSO conducts an annual membership drive with families donating to our operating budget. Membership forms are available in the administration building at the front desk and in the PTSO room 112.

Staff and Volunteer Appreciation
PTSO believes in the value of recognizing our teachers, staff, and volunteers for their hard work. We have different celebration activities and always are looking for help.

Fundraising
In addition to our Annual Membership Drive, PTSO sponsors the Panther Run Jog-A-Thon. This event raises money to support our initiatives.

Renaissance
SMS recognizes and celebrates academic excellence, effective employability skills, and positive behavior. Renaissance creates a culture that honors high academic performance and excellent behavior and encourages all students to strive for the recognition. Students earn a variety of recognition opportunities each nine-week grading period, depending on the criteria they meet. Students earn Renaissance recognition with a grade point average of 3.0 or above, 100% employability skills, and a GPA increase of .5 or more to a minimum 2.75 all C’s or better.

Financial Assistance
PTSO provides financial assistance for field trips, supplies and special events for those students in need.

Curriculum Enhancement

We proudly support our teachers and staff with financial resources for instructional materials such as Brain Pop, Sunshine State Readers, Media Center materials and special teacher requests.

We appreciate any donations of coupons and items to use for student and staff recognition.
